I've talked to several traders, and they all agree that you're crazy to leap right into Forex trading. You should start by opening a demo account, and practice trading with that first. So that's what I've decided to do.
I was referred to ForexMeta, a company out of Chicago, by Marcus Leary of F.A.P.S. fame. You can open a practice account with them here: http://www.forexmeta.com/practice_account.html.
After I opened my practice account, I installed a Forex trading computer program called MetaTrader4. I find this program very confusing, so I'm working my way through some helpful videos. You can find them here: http://www.forexmeta.com/videos/index.html.
So that's how you can get started trading currencies in the Forex market. I will get into why you might want to do this later.
